- Benzalkonium Chloride (As Preservative), 0.05mg.
- Sodium Chloride.
- Sodium Phosphate.
- Dibasic.
- Citric Acid.
- Purified Water.
- Sodium Hydroxide and/or Hydrochloric Acid (to adjust pH).

Each ml of Lumigan (Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution) 0.01% contains:

- Bimatoprost, 0.1mg.
- Benzalkonium Chloride (As Preservative), 0.2mg.
- Sodium Chloride.
- Sodium Phosphate.

- Sodium Hydroxide and/or Hydrochloric Acid (to adjust pH).

Use

Lumigan (Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution) is often prescribed to alleviate elevated intraocular pressure in individuals suffering from open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Elevated intraocular pressure may likely lead to glaucomatous field loss and the higher the level of pressure, the greater the probability of optic nerve damage as well as visual field loss. The active ingredient, Bimatoprost, helps lower intraocular pressure by regulating the amount of fluid that flows through both the trabecular meshwork and uveoscleral pathway. As aqueous production and drainage stabilize, pressure in the eye is reduced thus minimizing the risks associated with high intraocular pressure. Lumigan (Bimatoprost Ophthalmic Solution) may also be used to help improve the length, fullness, and darkness of eyelashes.

Side effects

Storage

My eye doctor prescribed these drops to me when the eye pressure test showed I had Glaucoma. My eye pressure was in the high 20's. My one month later pressure check showed it had dropped to 18. Needless to say I am quite pleased with the results.
