Naratriptan
Uses
Naratrex is used in the treatment of acute headache attacks caused by migraine.
How it Works
Naratrex is known as an 5HT1-receptor agonists. Naratrex is also known simply as triptans. Triptans work by stimulating the receptors of a natural substance in the brain called serotonin (or 5HT), which then eases the symptoms of migraine. Naratrex also reduces substances in the body that can trigger headache pain, sensitivity to light and sound, and other migraine symptoms. Naratrex will only treat a headache that has already begun. Naratrex will not prevent headaches or reduce the number of attacks.
