Fluorometholone
Uses
Fluorometholone is used in the treatment of allergic disorders, eye disorders and the symptoms it may cause.
How it Works
Fluorometholone is known as a synthetic corticosteroid or glucocorticoid. Fluorometholone binds to the receptors and controls the production of certain chemicals that mediate inflammation in the body, thus inhibiting the inflammatory reactions such as swelling, deposition and capillary dilatation. Fluorometholone works to reduce the release of the chemicals that cause the inflammation to occur, which in turn helps to reduce the inflammation.
