Before administering your medication injection dose, with the auto injector pen or syringe, let it come to room temperature for 30 minutes. Then, proceed to inject the Avonex pen into the outer part of your upper thigh. Alternatively, administer the Avonex syringe injection into either your thigh or upper arm region.

How to administer avonex injection?

Please administer AVONEX by injecting it into either the thigh or upper arm area for each dose. Make sure to alternate injection sites each time you administer the medication to avoid using the location repeatedly. Use caution. Avoid injecting into areas of the body where the skin is irritated, inflamed, recently bruised, diseased, or scarred in any manner.
