Uses
Campto Injection is used in the treatment of several types of cancer, such as, ovarian cancer, small cell lung cancer, cervical cancer and cancer of colon and rectum. It is usually given with other cancer medicines in a combination chemotherapy.
How it Works
Campto Injection is known as an anti-cancer medication. It is an inhibitor of topoisomerase, an enzyme which is important for the replication of genetic material or DNA in the cancer cells. Thus it stops the growth and multiplication of cancer cells and interferes and stops the spread of cancer cells in the body.
