Dapagliflozin is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes which helps to control the amount of sugar in the blood.
How it Works
Dapagliflozin is known as a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. Dapagliflozin reduces the levels of sugar the body absorbs and increases the levels of sugar that leaves the body in the urine, however Dapagliflozin should be used together with regular exercise and the control of diet.

Vildagliptin is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus which is also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes (NIDDM)
How it Works
Vildagliptin works in treatment of diabetes by increasing the amount of insulin produced by the body. Insulin helps control the level of sugar in the blood. Vildagliptin also reduces the amount of glucagon being produced by the pancreas, Glucagon causes your liver to produce more sugar, thus by reducing the amount of glucagon in the body by using Vildagliptin, this also helps to reduce the levels of sugar in the blood directly. Vildagliptin is used together with a good diet and also exercise.
