Medroxyprogesterone
Uses
Maxogest is used in the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis and amenorrhea. Maxogest is also used as a contraceptive or for heavy, painful, irregular or missed periods.
How it Works
Maxogest is a progestogen, which is a female hormone. It works as a contraceptive by preventing the ovaries from releasing eggs. Maxogest also thickens the cervical mucus and changes the uterine lining, making it harder for sperm to enter or survive in the uterus.
