Folic Acid is used in the treatment of folic acid deficiency and to prevent anemia.

Folic acid is a type of vitamin B. Folic acid helps the body produce and maintain new cells. Folic acid is also necessary for the normal production and maturation of red blood cells.

How it Works
Methotrexate works by interfering with the growth of certain cells of the body, especially cells that reproduce quickly, such as cancer cells, bone marrow cells, and skin cells. Methotrexate works in autoimmune diseases by decreasing the activity of body's immune system and prevents the body from attacking itself.
