How it Works
Amoxicillin is known as a penicillin antibiotic that fights bacteria. Amoxicillin prevents the synthesis of a substance in the bacterial cell wall called peptidoglycan, which provides the cell wall with the strength required for survival of bacteria in human body.

Clavulanic acid works by blocking the action of the enzymes produced by bacteria to inactivate the antibiotics, thus allowing the antibiotics to work and helping in the treatment of the infection.
