Metformin helps in allowing the body to make full use of the reduced amount of Insulin that occurs in type 2 diabetes patients. Insulin occurs naturally in the body's pancreas which helps to control the level of glucose(Sugars) in your blood, insufficient or inaffective insulin results in the condition called diabetes mellitus. Metformin helps in treatment of the type 2 diabetes.

Linagliptin
Uses
Linagliptin is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
How it Works
Linagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitor (DPP-4) which works in the treatment of type 2 diabetes by increasing the amount of insulin produced by the pancreas, Linagliptin also reduces the amount glucagon produced by the pancreas, Glucagon causes the liver to produce more sugar, so by reducing the amount of glucagon in the body, Linagliptin helps to reduce the levels of glucose in your blood which in turn helps in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
