Cyproheptadine
Uses
Cyproheptadine is used in the treatment of allergic disorders and its symptoms.
How it Works
Cyproheptadine is known as a sedating antihistamine which works by acting on histamine and serotonin receptors. Histamine causes an immune system response to invading pathogens or allergens (such as pollen or allergic reactions), binding to its receptors triggering allergy symptoms at the affected area. Cyproheptadine acts by selectively inhibiting the H1 histamine receptors therefore preventing histamine from acting on its receptors.therefore Cyproheptadine helps relieve allergic symptoms.
