How it Works
Medroxyprogesterone is a progestogen, which is a female hormone. It works as a contraceptive by preventing the ovaries from releasing eggs. Medroxyprogesterone also thickens the cervical mucus and changes the uterine lining, making it harder for sperm to enter or survive in the uterus.
