Uses
Rosulip is used in the treatment of increased triglycerides levels in blood and increased cholesterol levels in blood.
How it Works
Rosulip is known as a statin or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. Rosulip regulates the amount of cholesterol and other lipids made by the body. Rosulip works by blocking the action of a the enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase which the body needs to make cholesterol. This lowers the level of cholesterol and directly lowers the risk of heart and blood vessel disease.
Common Side effects
Patients who take Rosulip may suffer from such side effects;
Musculoskeletal pain,
Dyspepsia,
Nasopharyngitis,
Increased liver enzymes,
Increased creatine phosphokinase (CPK) level in blood,
Diarrhoea,
Flatulence,
Constipation,
Allergic reaction,
Headache,
Nausea,
Joint swelling,
Increased glucose level in blood
