Tenvir is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis b virus (hbv) infection and hiv infections.
How it Works
Tenvir is an antiretroviral medicine known as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). Tenvir slows the progress of HIV infection, but it is not a cure. Tenvir is used with other medicines in a combination therapy. Tenvir works by by stopping the virus HIV from copying (replicating) itself. Tenvir works by stopping the hepatitis B virus from multiplying further, this reduces the amount of the virus in your body.
