Tropicamide is used in eye examination to help dilate the pupil of the eye and uveitis.
How it Works
Tropicamide works by causing the muscles in the eye to become relaxed. This then dilates and widens the pupil so that it does not react or narrows down when the doctor shines an examination light into the eye.
