Vemlidy is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis b virus (hbv) infection and hiv infections.
How it Works
Vemlidy is an antiretroviral medicine known as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs). Vemlidy slows the progress of HIV infection, but it is not a cure. Vemlidy is used with other medicines in a combination therapy. Vemlidy works by by stopping the virus HIV from copying (replicating) itself. Vemlidy works by stopping the hepatitis B virus from multiplying further, this reduces the amount of the virus in your body.
