Zofran

Zofran is used for the treatment and prevention of vomitting and nausea for patients undergoing cancer treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

Zofran is known as a 5-HT3 blocker.Zofran works by inhibiting the actions of serotonin in the body, serotonin is responsible for triggering vomiting and nausea. Zofran is usually prescribed for use in patients undergoing cancer treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, to prevent vomiting. Zofran is also used to prevent post surgery vomiting.
