Atavir is used in the treatment to suppress the HIV virus and preventing it from infecting the immune system in the body
How it Works
Atavir is an anti-HIV drug that is a protease inhibitor. Atavir works by disrupting the HIV protease enzyme, which then causes it to produce ineffective HIV-viral particles that are unable to further infect the body. Atavir is usually used along with other medications to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.
