Uses
Aripiren is used in the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and mania.
How it Works
Aripiren is known as an atypical antipsychotic. Aripiren works by acting on the dopamine and serotonin receptors in the brain, and Aripiren helps to stabilize the action of dopamine. This helps treat schizophrenia symptoms. Aripiren is also used in treating patients with bipolar disorder for episodes of mania, and helping to reduce aggression in certain patients with autism.
