Rosuvastatin
Uses
Rosuvastatin is used in the treatment of increased triglycerides levels in blood and increased cholesterol levels in blood.
How it Works
Rosuvastatin is known as a statin or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. Rosuvastatin regulates the amount of cholesterol and other lipids made by the body. Rosuvastatin works by blocking the action of a the enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase which the body needs to make cholesterol.
