Ethinyl Estradiol is used for the purpose of contraception and hormone replacement therapy (hrt), and it is also used in the treatment of post menopausal osteoporosis, prostate cancer, and failure of ovarian development.
How it Works
Ethinyl Estradiol is a man-made form of the naturally occurring female hormone called oestrogen in the body. Ethinyl Estradiol helps to relieve many of the problems associated with the menopause, such as hot flushes, night sweats and vaginal dryness.Ethinyl Estradiol helps in development and maintenance of menstrual cycle. In post-menopausal women, Ethinyl Estradiol works by reducing the post-menopausal symptoms and risk of weakening bones and bone fracture.

Gestodene
Uses
Gestodene in with ethinylestradiol, it is used as a contraceptive pill to prevent pregnancy. This combination of the two medicines are also used for treatment of irregular menstrual cycle and pain during menstrual bleeding.
How it Works
Gestodene is known as a progestin which is a female hormones. Gestodene works to prevent pregnancy by preventing the release of an egg from the ovary or preventing fertilization of the egg by sperm. Gestodene also works by changing the lining of the uterus to prevent a fertilized egg from sticking to the wall lining and preventing the development of a pregnancy.
