Uses
Dapagliflozin is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes which helps to control the amount of sugar in the blood.
How it Works
Dapagliflozin is known as a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. Dapagliflozin reduces the levels of sugar the body absorbs and increases the levels of sugar that leaves the body in the urine, however Dapagliflozin should be used together with regular exercise and the control of diet.

Patients who take Dapagliflozin may suffer from such side effects;
Nausea,
Frequent urge to urinate,
Increased thirst,
Urinary tract infection,
Symptoms of hypoglycaemia: feeling shaky or anxious,

Hypoglycaemia (Low blood sugar level) in combination with insulin or sulphonylurea,

How it Works
Metformin helps in allowing the body to make full use of the reduced amount of Insulin that occurs in type 2 diabetes patients. Insulin occurs naturally in the body's pancreas which helps to control the level of glucose(Sugars) in your blood, insufficient or inaffective insulin results in the condition called diabetes mellitus. Metformin helps in treatment of the type 2 diabetes.
