Halobetasol is known as a steroid. Halobetasol works by reducing the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation. Halobetasol works by Blocking the production of inflammatory mediators thus reducing the effects of allergic reactions.

Salicylic acid is known as a keratolytic which is a peeling agent. Salicylic acid allows shedding of the outer layer of skin by loosening and softening the dry, scaly skin. Salicylic Acid also works on reducing swelling and redness and thus causing pimples to shrink
