Uses
Myoda is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes which helps to control the amount of sugar in the blood.
How it Works
Myoda is known as a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor. Myoda reduces the levels of sugar the body absorbs and increases the levels of sugar that leaves the body in the urine, however Myoda should be used together with regular exercise and the control of diet.
Common Side effects
Patients who take Myoda may suffer from such side effects;
Nausea,
Frequent urge to urinate,
Increased thirst,
Urinary tract infection,
Symptoms of hypoglycaemia: feeling shaky or anxious,
Sweating,
Looking pale,
Feeling hungry,
Feeling that your heart is pounding (palpitations),
Feeling dizzy
Hypoglycaemia (Low blood sugar level) in combination with insulin or sulphonylurea,
Genital fungal infection
