How it Works
Ramipril is known as an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.ACE inhibitors like ramipril works by preventing the body from creating a hormone known as angiotensin II. This is done by blocking or inhibiting a chemical called angiotensin-converting enzyme. This then widens the blood vessels and helps to reduce the amount of water put back into your blood by the kidneys.These actions by Ramipril helps to decrease blood pressure.
