Uses
Rebamipide is used in the treatment of intestinal ulcers, Gastritis, Peptic ulcer and stomach ulcers.
How it Works
Rebamipide increases the synthesis of prostaglandin, a chemical messenger which helps in the healing of the ulcer. Rebamipide is a mucosal protective agent and is postulated to increase gastric blood flow and increases prostaglandin biosynthesis.
