Uses
Valgaids is used in the treatment of cytomegalovirus (CMV) that may occur after an organ transplant (heart, kidney, or pancreas). Valgaids is also used to treat CMV infection of the eye in adults with herpes simplex virus, acquired by immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
How it Works
Valgaids is an antiviral drug. Valgaids works by preventing viral cells from multiplying in the body. Valgaids will not cure CMV but it can help control the infection caused by herpes simplex virus.
